		<description>Pam,
So tell me why. At least a bit or two. Why are you unsatisfied by their efforts? And if you have the time, why does the literary establishment revere them so? I have never found an answer to explain such a waste of obvious talent. Is it just another part of the anti-humanism of the Twentieth Century--the elevation of what is petty and small in order to display a dislike and distrust for their fellow human beings as a justification for turning individual responsibility over to the authority of others? (As if a hundred thieves might somehow be more honest as an elected group than one, or a 50 million idiots smarter than a single moron, etc.) The elitism of an intellectual establishment huddling in Universities and living off taxes confiscated from the citizen while self-righteously attacking the same citizen for being too stupid to appreciate Picasso has always mystified me. Please, Pam, explain this to me. Use simple words, because I am obviously not smart enough to comprehend the zeitgeist of such an age. In the mean time I&#039;ll read a little Conrad for comfort.
